Welcome to Bad Luck Handicapper!

This is going to be a little different from the sports betting websites you may be used to. The sites
I've visited talk about their incredible winning records and how many dimes they are up this
week, month, year etc. I will have my record listed here as well, but mine is riddled with losing
streaks and tough losses. So what I do is lay out my picks and recommend (highly) that you go
with the other team. Does this sound stupid? You wouldn't be the first person to think that. Who
the hell wants a pick just to be told to take the other team? And if your going to recommend the
other team, why wouldn't you just pick them in the first place? But after my bets just kept ending
win streaks, I started to realize I had a different sort of gift for sportsbetting...
Background

About 2 years ago I got into sports betting. I loved the action and feeling like I was
involved in the game. However, I didn't want to become part of the estimated 95% of
sports bettors who lose overall. So I read up on sports betting and tried to learn some
real strategy. I started purchasing the expert picks, researching games, reading
websites, looking for anything that could help me become a winning sports bettor.
I had a friend who was doing pretty well at it so I tried to follow him. He eventually
had to cut me off. Every time I would bet on a game with him, he would lose.

Now the first couple months this went on we would laugh about how unlucky I was.
After about 6 months and roughly 80 or so games that he had given me, we started to
think it wasn't all that funny anymore. He would give me his "40 dime" plays and we
would lose. He gave me his games of the month and we would lose. He had another
group of friends that he also bet with and they would have some real solid winning
streaks. Every time I heard about one of the plays and made a bet, they would lose. He
finally told me I was cut off - Once that happened he went right on another nice
winning streak. I have him as a guest handicapper at my site, since he actually is quite
good - Whatever picks he makes, I promise I won't bet on his games!

So what is this site about? Well, as you can tell so far, I didn't exactly start out too well
at sportsbetting. I really enjoyed it, but you can only take so many losing nights before
you realize maybe it just isn't your thing. I had great advice from someone doing very
well, and I still couldn't clock a win. It was like I was Eddie Mush from Bronx Tale -
The guy with the worst luck in the world. Everything he bet on was a loser. I read that
they actually started to give him his racetrack tickets already ripped up. This is
exactly what I started to feel like. It surely didn't seem like a coincidence that my
friend would lose 90% of the games I bet on with him. I mean if it happens 10 times,
thats easily attributable to short term bad luck. Maybe even 6 months isn't enough to
know if its just "variance". But when nobody in your network of sportsbetting friends
will let you know what game they like, something is obviously wrong.

So that is where the idea for this site came from. Like the Seinfeld show when Jerry
says to George "If every instinct you have is wrong, then the opposite would have to be
right." I actually thought about calling my site Opposite Man, but that just sounded
like a really bad superhero name.
Bad Luck Handicapper
It ain't EZ being this bad!
Why you should choose Bad Luck Handicapper!

An estimated 95% of sports bettors lose in the long run. The estimate for top handicappers are about 60% overall wins. Doesn't it
make more sense to find yourself a consistent loser and just go opposite of his picks? I see lots of sights selling picks and they seem
impressive. Lots of great articles and helpful links. Read through their stuff and it really seems like maybe you found something
good - like this one really knows what he's talking about. Then you see their stats and they have 207 Wins...and 201 Losses. Ouch!
Should anyone really pay for that?!?!? Isn't it much more valuable to have someone you can count on to lose? After all, if you know
who's going to lose, its pretty easy to pick winners. Well thats the simple theory behind this site. So stick around - follow us for a
few weeks and judge for yourself. You will find that I am far worse than they are good. The scariest thing is I really am trying to
pick winners - I'm just that cursed.
